Austin is a multi disciplinary visual artist currently working as a Senior Animator at the Academy Award winning visual effects studio Weta Digital.

Austin began his career when he completed an animation internship over the summer of 2004 at Digital Domain in Venice, California. After graduating from the Academy of Art University in 2005 Austin began working at Stormfront Studios in San Rafael, California where he worked on several video game titles. Austin filled many roles while at Stormfront Studios including Animator, Cinematics Artist, Lighter, and Compositor. In January of 2007 Austin joined the animation department at Tippett Studio where he worked on many visual effects driven films including “Enchanted”, “The Spiderwick Chronicles” and “Cloverfield”. In 2009 Austin joined the animation department at Weta Digital in New Zealand to work on James Cameron’s “Avatar”. Austin is currently at Weta Digital and has recently wrapped on “Rise of the Planet of the Apes.”
With over 6 years of experience in animation for films, commercials and video games Austin looks forward to drawing from his experience and contributing to challenging and rewarding projects.
